A single poppy on a beautiful summer day in England.

Such a different time and location to where the poppy is normally though of, especially at this time of year.

We will remember them.

  1. This picture says so much; the poppies grow wild, and free 🙂

  2. oh how beautiful is this Vicky! i bumped into this image recently while on my cell phone but this full-sized view on the laptop is even more striking. and Duotone played nice!

trust you and your family had a good Christmas. wishing you all the very best for a happy new year! Timmy sends purrs. 🙂

    • also meant to say, this is an ideal click for the minimalist challenge. i can’t believe i missed this earlier!

    • Thank you a Kris, lovely to hear from you, though I will admit it’s my fault as I’ve been very lapse on WP recently.

I love poppies, they are so fragile, but so resilient too.

A quiet Christmas here, but I’m not overly fond of this time of year, so it suited me, I’m looking forward to the New Year and putting the past two years behind me.

Hope all is well with you and yours……especially Timmy (thanks for the purrs :-))

I really must get back into blogging soon. xx

  3. Like kris, I missed this but it is a lovely pic, and so well timed for November and Poppy Day.
